Looking to make your Eurovision event extra special? Here are some tried-and-tested tips for hosting an unforgettable Eurovision party in your classroom (or at home). These activities are perfect for encouraging cultural awareness and creating a fantastic atmosphere.
- Make and serve snacks from a selection of the participating nations.
- Make some bunting out of the flags of the participating nations.
- Invite friends or family to dress in the colours of the flag of one of the participating nations.
- Learn how to say hello in each of the participating nations’ languages.
- Play Eurovision bingo! Fill boards with things you would expect to see: ‘A country gets nil points/A performer uses a wind machine/Someone waves a flag into the camera’ and so on!
- Hold a sweepstake to predict the winning nation. In true Eurovision tradition, the winner gets to host the party next year!
